All dressed up

Yippee, how pleased am I, I sorted out the problem with my blog background at last. I also made the top 3 at Little Claire and won the challenge at Delightful Challenges. Part of that prize is to be a guest designer one week.

This week at Totally Gorjuss Net has challenged us to 1,2,3. My DT card has 1 paper, 2 flowers and swirls and I've used 3 Go Kreate dies to make this cute easel card with a Wild Rose image. The gorgeous glittery paper is Henbury Lane and cherry blossom flowers are Wild Orchid with Sizzix cut swirls. I've used Promarkers as always and a Sakura clearstar pen on the dress detail and jewellery.

I would like to enter this into the challenge of a right royal knees up (royalty, posh frocks etc) at A Spoon full of sugar and fashion at Ladybug crafts Ink where they also have a bloghop.

Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend.

Snow much fun

Well, the Royal Wedding Day has arrived at last and the sun is shining here. I just want to see the dress and will watch the highlights programme tonight. I played around with my blog last night as I wanted to have bigger pics of my cards and couldn't do it with my old template. I'm really pleased with the result but still need to do some sorting out, such as the heading and the background which doesn't come to the top of my blog for some reason.

This week at Winter Wonderland it's my turn to host the challenge and I have chosen the theme of Snow much fun. We have a new sponsor, Stampin with the Dragon who are offering 3 digis to the winner so I hope you'll play along with those images of anyone or an animal having fun in the snow.

I've used a Pollycraft image. She's made the bottom of the snowman and is having a rest before tackling the rest. Bet she has a cold bum, ha ha. I used glitter flocking on her clothes and added lots of glitter to the snow. I've used my beloved new MS cherish punch again along with my fave MS snowflake punch and pearls. The trees were die cut from glitter card using a Sizzix die which I haven't used for ages. The Christmas ribbon is from Papermania.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:
ABC Christmas I is for Indigo, Ice and Inspiration
Sketch Saturday Fab sketch which I rotated.
Cute Card Thursday Use any sketch (see above)
Crafts 4 eternity Anything Goes
Totally Papercrafts Glitter
Wags 'n' Whiskers Use Die or punch
Pollycraft Fun and games

Lastly I would like to say welcome to my two newest followers, Coops and Elly P.

Edited - I've sorted the header by making it bigger. Isn't Kate's dress beautiful and don't they make a lovely happy couple.

Listening to my tunes

Hope you are all having a lovely Easter. We decided to go the coast today and left our house in lovely sunshine. When we got to the coast there was a sea mist making it rather cool so we ended up walking about with tops zipped up. Hubby had gone in his shorts and taken his jeans, luckily, which he had to change into as soon as we got there. There were more coffees than ice creams being consumed. Moved on down the coast after a while and it was worse. You could hardly see the sea! Had a some lovely fish and chips though and a nice walk around. As soon as we left and came inland to come home the sun was shining. Got home to lovely weather. Oh well at least we got some fresh sea air.

So onto my card which I made yesterday using this cute Pollycraft image and some Doodlebug papers. I used my lovely new MS PATP Cherish punches and Sizzix stars with buttons. The embossing was done with a CB folder.

Challenges:
Stamp with fun Birthday
Digital Tuesday Punches
Simon Says Embossing
Papertake Spots n stripes

Teddy Celebrations

No cardmaking for me on this beautiful sunny day as I did some gardening this morning and then sadly went to a funeral this afternoon of a lovely lady I used to work with for many years. She was only 56, much too young to go. It was however lovely to see so many old friends and work colleagues.

This card is one I made for Crafter's Companion using the Everyday CD. Such lovely bright papers and a decoupaged teddy. I cut some bunting from scrap card and drew some faux stitching wit black and white pens. I would like to enter this into the challenge of pets/animals at Creative Inspirations.

Happy Easter everyone. Enjoy your Hot Cross Buns and Easter Eggs.

April Showers

The weather here just keeps getting better and better. It's like a Summer's Day and I'm off for

I'm on a roll this week with Sugar Nellie stamps. The papers are my new First Edition Desert Blooms I bought last Sunday. I added some ribbon, a charm and some card candi. I also added glossy accents to the puddle and top of the umbrella.

I love the elephants from Little Claire and when I saw there were a couple of red, white and blue challenges thought they would fit this image perfectly. The papers and sentiment are Forever Friends from the retro pack and the chipboard embellies are K&Co.

Hope the weather is as good for you as it is here in the east of England. I have a line full of washing drying which will smell great but unfortunately will all need ironing when I'd rather be crafting.

Challenges:

Cheerleader

A quick post from me as I need to get on with cooking dinner. I'm waiting for some more stuff from Crafter's Companion to make some samples. It hasn't arrived yet so I had time to play with some new stash this afternoon and enter the Sugar Bowl challenge of purple and green plus the sketch. I bought this SN cheerleader a few weeks ago and used her with some old papers, my new MS Cherish punch and Sizzix primitive stars. This die was another ting I have been trying to find and was so pleased to buy yesterday. The star circle was another new buy (a Marianne die) as were the lovely sparkly buttons. I used my trusty Promarkers and Sakura clearstar pen with lots of glitter. I would also like to enter this into the spring colour challenge at Card Makin' Mamas. I'll be back after dinner.

Pandas

A good friend of mine asked me to make a Birthday card for her daughter, who loves pandas. When we went to Washington last year we were lucky enough to see some giant pandas at Washington Zoo. I bought a pack of decoupaged Joules pandas in anticpation of making a scrapbook page of the event. I was able to make use of two of them for this card. The pandas are so soft and tactile. I used papers from Papermania aqua capsule collection and die cut some circles from pearlised card with a Marianne Die. Flowers are Prima, patterned and velvet with brads. Loads of different textures on this card making it perfect for the challenge at Paper Sundaes and as it is dimensional also fits the challenge at Papertake .

Had a lovely day with Lynsey at the Sincerely Yours show and finally managed to buy the MS PATP Cherish set which I have wanted for ages and couldn't find in the US. I also bought some gorgeous papers, just one stamp(!!), and some other goodies. Met some lovely people on the stands and saw some demos. Have so many ideas now, can't wait to play.

No designer papers

Here's my first DT card for Totally Gorjuss and it's the challenge of no designer papers. This is a great reason to get out those embossing folders I don't use often enough. I used C'ordinations whitewash card stock from Crafter's Companion, D'vine swirls and Bubbles Cuttlebug embossing folders ad sanded them down to show the blue cardstock. The image is from Little Claire. The ribbon was on a Birthday cake, sentiment from Craftwork Cards. I hope you'll play along this week as we are sponsored by Simon Says.

I'm off to a Sincerely Yours craft show at Thetford on Sunday, meeting up with Lynsey there. Not quite up to Ally Pally or NEC standard but as I was on hol in America couldn't make either of those. Probably just as well this is a small show after the stash I got on hol.

Get well soon teddy

Another bright card for my second one today. Lisa stamped this sweet LOTV image for me months ago and I've finally got round to using it. It's just perfect for a poorly child. The papers are Country Diary and are free with this month's C&PC mag. The Sizzix corners were a new buy in America. Flowers are Wild Orchid cherry blossom with roses from Michaels. Challenges: Cupcake Doctors and nurses Simon Says Card for a child Sketch N Stash Fab sketch which I rotated. I just had to move the sentiment slightly as it wouldn't fit otherwise.

Gone fishing

Another card made with an LOTV square. As there was a lot of whit space around the image I die cut it with a Nellie die. Papers are K&Co Hopscotch. I love these bright papers, just right for male cards. The border is also K&Co. I used one of my new punches which is Michaels own make. For those of you who have been to the US and shopped at Michaels I have exciting news. They hope to open in the UK at some stage, could be a couple of years time though. However they are going to extend their website to sell in the UK. How great will that be.

DID YOU MISS ME?

Hi everyone, have you missed me? You may have wondered why I haven't been entering any challenges nor visiting you and leaving comments. I did leave some scheduled posts and my little candy. I have been away on holiday in sunny Florida and only got back home yesterday afternoon. We had a fabulous time. Now it's back to reality but luckily the sun is shining so I can hang out some of the washing.

I didn't think I bought much craft stuff this time but when I put it all together when I got home I can see there is more than I thought. The pretty box, which is empty, is for my ribbons. I also got a few goodies for another candy which will be coming shortly.

If you haven't already entered my candy then do it now because it closes tonight. I'm off to do some food shopping now. It's gonna take me a while to catch up with you all but I'll do my best this week. I've got some DT work for Crafter's Companion to do and of course piles of ironing, oh joy.

Easter chicks

Time for another challenge at Stampin’ for the Weekend and this time the challenge is Easter. I have used this adorable image from Digistamp Boutique for my DT card. I made the shaped card and layers with Go Kreate and Nestie dies. The papers is K&Co Daisy. I didn't feel it needed much embellishment so just added some tiny buttons and a bow from the Honey and Hugs range. I would ike to enter this into the April competition at Digistamp Boutique.

Tuesday 5 April 2011

Fairyopolis

When I made the Fairyopolis samples for the Crafter's Companion launch I never got round to showing you these 3 samples so here they are today. These fairies are so pretty and the papers are such gorgeous colours. The CD contains so many toppers, decoupage and pyrimage too. The top card image and sentiment are from one of the stamp sets, the middle one is a topper and the bottom one an A5 Pryimage.

Sunday 3 April 2011

Birthday Teddy

I've used a Pyrimage image of Popcorn and Souffle for this month's DT card for Crafter’s Companion where the challenge is brown and aqua. I know this is a popular colour combo so hope to see lots of you playing along. Remember you don't have to use a CC image but we would love it if you do. I have used Clare Curd papers, MS PATP double loop punch and yes, you've guessed it some card candy to finish off this A5 card.

Friday 1 April 2011

Teddy Bears' Christmas

Time for a DT card for this week's challenge at Winter Wonderland. Denise has chosen Teddy Bear's Christmas as her theme, one which suits me perfectly. The image is from Pollycraft, papers are Forever Friends Cosy Christmas. I added glitter flocking to the image and glossy accents to the baubles. The sentiment is part of a K&Co border, holly leaves are from a Sizzix die and that card candy has come out again. There's a great prize from Sassy Studio Designs so get out those teddies and come and play with us this week. Don't forget to enter my candy (post at the top of my blog),
