A little present

Another quick post from me this time with a Christmas card using a Pollycraft image coloured with Promarkers. Papers are Dovecraft Fancy Christmas and DCWV Winter. I used some card candi and a Prima flower. Apologies for quick posts and lack of commenting but as I explained earlier in the week Hubby is off this week and we are out and about all week. Normal service will be resumed next week. For those of you who asked about my Grand Calibur, I am allowed to play with it now and don't have to wait for my Birthday.

Holding on to my blanket

I had a lovely time in Great Yarmouth yesterday, especially shopping at Craftmania with 20% of everything. I am now the proud owner of a Grand Calibur, an early Birthday pressy, as you will know if you read yesterday's post. I bought a few other goodies too. My card today was made with paper from the Fairyopolis CD from Crafter's Companion and a Popcorn stamp. I used Core'dinations card and an embossing folder and sanded and tore for a distressed look. The corners were cut with a Sizzix die.

Challenges:
Creative Card Crew Anything Goes
DYSU Boys or Men
2 Sisters Boys and their toys
Here Come the Boys Brown and orange
The Crafty Pad Distressing and tearing
CD Sunday Just because

Apologies for lack of commenting but Hubby isn't working and we are off out and about this week.

Autumn Ballet

Good morning everyone. A quick post from me as I am off out for the day. A quick trip to Sainsburys then off to the coast where there is a craft shop I visit occasionally who have 20% of everything this Bank Holiday weekend. Hubby is buying me a Grand Caliber for my Birthday. I know it is just over a month away but 20% off is too good a bargain to miss. Wonder what other goodies they have in store, mmm.

Our challenge this week at Whoopsi Daisy is Autumn Colours. I love Linnie's ballerina images and have made an 8 x 8 card. I added texture by embossing some Core'dinations and sanding it and adding a large flower with a spacer and brad and some ribbon. The small flower has been coloured with Promarkers, as has the image. I have used the fab sketch at Card and a Half who also want texture.

Sending hugs

Good morning everyone. The Village Fayre went well yesterday despite having to out up the gazebo in the drizzle. Luckily the sun came out and there were lots of people attending. The gazebos were all round the main ring so we had a good view of everything and sold some cards and craft bits too. There were a few sharp showers in the afternoon, including one of hail, but they were over quickly and the the sun shone again. Got the gazebo down in the dry and then rained coming home. Saw a beautiful double rainbow.

I haven't used a Gorjuss girl for ages so thought I would use for a change. The papers are some old ones I found in my stash. Added some lace, a Craftwork Cards sentiment, Sizix die cut corners, silver embellie and charm and a rose.

Challenges:
Crafty Catz Metal and lace
Truly Scrumptious Rocked up pink

I'm also entering this into the black challenge at Sugar Nellies Facebook page.

Anyone for Tennis?

This week at Totally Gorjuss the challenge is As You Like it. We are sponsored by Kennny K who gave the DT some of their images to use. I teamed this sporty girl with Papermania Blueberry Pie papers and coloured her with Spectrum Noirs. The twine and geometric buttons are from Crafty Emma's Store.

I've scheduled this post so let's hope Mr Blogger behaves himself. I'm selling at a craft fair again on Saturday so keeping fingers crossed for sunshine and lots of customers.

Always and forever

Another busy cardmaking day yesterday with 9.5 cards made. I couldn't possible make that many if they were all stamped, which is my favourite type of card to make. I made some with lovely papers and large flowers, simple but effective and some with my lovely Humphrey Everday decoupage kit I bought. These are such lovely images and ideal for making cards for sale. Decoupaged cards are very popular with the buyers I've found. I have been making at least one stamped card a day too but these are mainly my DT cards so cannot share those with you yet.

This image of Humphrey's Mum and Dad dancing on their anniversary is so sweet. The papers I used are also from the kit which is available at Crafter's Companion. The stamped sentiment is LOTV and the flowers are from Michaels with MS punched fern leaves.

Challenges:
Cute Card Thursday Great sketch
Little Claire Wedding/anniversary (sorry didn't have any suitable Little Claire images)
Forever Friends 3D (use any animal image)
Crafty Creations Show us your inner animal

Right, housework and shopping to do and then getting ready for tomorrow's craft fair. I have all the cards I made this week to label, attach inserts and bag up.

Autumn leaves

Summer isn't quite over yet but my favourite season is approaching and the challenge at Pollycraft this week is Autumn Colours. I immediately thought of this image, which I love, from the Chery Kisses range. I coloured her with Promarkers and added some small punched leaves. I used the fab sketch at Simon Says. Papers are Memory Box Fernbrae, a recent purchase from Crafty Emma's Store. Emma has many items on sale, including this paper and the geometric buttons I have used recently. I found some checked card in my stash which I punched with a MS border punch and layered behind the image. I would also like to enter this into the girlie challenge at The Corrosive Challenge.

I'd like to say Hi to my lovely new follower, thanks for hopping over and for those of you who haven't entered my candy yet please click on the My Candy page to enter for a chance to win one of 7 prizes.

You've Passed!

I've managed to make 15 cards in the last 2 days as I need to increase my stock ready for the 3 craft fairs I am doing over the next 5 weeks. I couldn't possible have made that many if I had stamped all the images so have been making some with decoupage and die cuts. I love these LOTV die cuts especially as some of them have images which are not available as stamps yet. I know this one is now but I must admit it saved me a lot of colouring, though that is something I love to do and find very relaxing. When you sell cards people don;t always appreciate how long it takes to colour in an image so these die cuts are great.

I wanted to make the card suitable for male or female and though these papers are Wild Rose For Men think they fit the bill. I used the MS simple scallop punch and added some card candi. The letter L had been cut in half to show they have passed and the sentiment is from the Tulip range from Docrafts.

I would like to enter this into the dies to die for (use die cuts) at Papertake, Primary Colours at Delightful and Bold and bright at One Stop Craft.

I was so pleased that my pirate card I posted on Monday using a Whoopsi Daisy image made top 5.

A choir of snowmen

Beautiful sunny days yesterday, very overcast today and rain predicted so a perfect day for crafting. I was in my craftroom just before 7 this morning so one card made already, then 30 mins on the Wii Fit, shower and change and here I am.My card today features an old Sugar Nellie stamp which I have coloured with Promarkers. Papers are Papermania Penelope and Percy. The border at the side was made with my Marianne icicle die. I've never used it sideways before but like the effect. I've also used an MS snowflake border punch and MS punched snowflakes with pearls. I've used the fab sketch at The Sugar Bowl and would like to enter Anything Goes at Craftyhazelnut's Christmas.

Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirate's Life For Me

This is one of my favourite images from the talented Linnie and my DT card for this week's challenge of Summer Fun over at Whoopsi Daisy where there are some gorgeous DT cards as always. I coloured him with Promarkers and added some glossy accents to the water. I used a new Forever Friends boat embossing folder which I found reduced in The Range. Onto my card, which has been distressed. I even tore the papers in some places, gasp! I'm getting into this distressing now, never liked it at first. Happy Birthday Mum

Here I am back with my second post today and as promised my candy has been posted. I wanted to make a picture with all the logos and candy included and after trying to do it in blogger and getting very frustrated as the individual pics kept moving every time I added one I resorted to Photoshop and impressed myself by being able to do, with a purple background too (pats herself on back, lol).

This is my card for my Mum's Birthday using one of the Simply Sassies from Sugar Nellie. I haven't made a twisted easel card for ages. I try to make a different shaped card for my Mum each time as she really likes them. This image reminds me of myself in the 60s. though I was never that thin. I sometimes find it hard to keep the front page down properly. Hubby came in and said put something heavy in the bottom right hand corner and that will help to hold it down and of course he was right, it stays perfectly in place. Papers are First edition Desert Bloom. I don't think I have ever used this colour combo before but I really like it. I used Promarkers for colouring and added some shine with a Sakura glaze pen.I used an MS border punch, Wild Orchid roses and some more of those geometric buttons from Crafty Emma's. I've just ordered some more of these along with some scrummy papers which are in the clearance sale.

Challenges:
The Sugar Bowl Great sketch which I continued on the base of the card
Bunny Zoe Easel cards
I love Promarkers Easel cards
Stamptacular Fancy folds

Hope you all have a good weekend. The weather has been perfect today so hope it lasts as we are doing a car boot stall tomorrow. I'm scheduling my Totally Gorjuss card for tomorrow.

Oh goody, socks again!

Good morning, the sun is shining and I am feeling energetic this morning so after posting this I'm off for a bit of Wii Fit before coming back to the craftroom for some bloghopping. Our challenge this week at Winter Wonderland has been set by Denise and she wants to see men's cards. I know some people don't like making men's cards and images for Christmas cards are not always easy to find for men but I just love this image from Pollycraft which aways makes me smile. Maurice has been coloured with Promarkers with glossy accents added to his glasses and glitter flock to his hat. The papers are Papermania, Basic Grey and First Edition (new purchase from Crafty Emmas). Ribbon is Papermania and holly was made with Sizzix die cut leaves and card candi. The metal embelies are K & Co.

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:
Bah Humbug! Something new (First Edition paper)
Totally Papercrafts Christmas in August
CES Mix and match (Use at least 2 different manufacturer's papers)
Sparkles One for the boys
The Ribbon Girl Use ribbon

Here's a little tip when using ribbon across the page, especially for 8 x 8 cards like this one. Stick your double sided tape to the paper rather than the ribbon. It is easier to get a straight line this way.

We have 2 fabulous sponsors this week, Crafty Emma is offering £10 to spend at her store and Squiggle Stamps are giving away 2 digis of your choice so 2 reasons to enter this week.

I'll be back later with at least one more card to show you and my mega candy.

Flowers are Wild Orchid with Crealie die cut leaves, some sparkly ribbon and pearls.

Sneak Peek 3 - Feeding the Ducks

Only one more day to go and then you will be able to get your hands on this gorgeous Humphrey decoupage. These images are all so sweet. The papers are from the Humphrey CDs. I used an MS border punch and added some bunting and some satin ribbon from the brights collection from Crafter's Companion. Don't forget to tune in tomorrow to Create and Craft to see Sara showcasing the decoupage and the samples from the DT.

I've another busy day ahead. Housework, ironing and several cards to make. I'll be back soon with my Squiggles DT card and hope to get my candy sorted today so check back later.

Good morning everyone from a very sunny Norwich. I've been for a walk this morning and when I switched on my e-mail found one saying the Crafter's Companion samples I am working on need to be sent tomorrow rather than Wednesday as planned. That means another quick post from me with no time for bloghopping. I will catch up as soon as I can.

This is my DT card for this week's easy challenge of Anything Goes at Whoopsi Daisy.  I coloured the elephant with Spectrum Noirs and tried to give the effect of soft material. Papers are Papermania Boysenberry. I used my MS PATP Cherish set and added ribbon, pearls and lots of buttons.

I coloured the Penny Black image with Promarkers and now I have some fine nibs was able to do some faux stitching in brown. Loving these fine nibs. Papers are HOTP 12" pad mixed jewels. I thought this image would go well with bunitng, well any excuse, and added some Craftime geometric buttons. Promarkers, fine nibs and buttons are al available at Crafty Emma's Store. Third Sugar Bowl entry

I'm back as promised with a second card today. Thankfully no fillings, just a check and clean at the dentists, phew (see previous post). My card features one of the gorgeous Simply Sassy girls from Sugar Nellie coloured with Spectrum Noirs. The papers were some I was lucky enough to win recently, Crafty Individuals Travels in Italy. They have a lovely vintage look and I keep admiring them and putting them away so decided I really must use some of them. I kept to the vintage look by distressing and inking and adding this gorgeous lace from Wild Orchid. I didn't want to cover up the paper with too many embellies so just a sentiment from Craftwork Cards and 3 pearls. Quite minimum for me.

I'd like to share my pen storage with you.

I had my Promarkers in the drawer storage but once I got my Speccies knew I needed more. Thanks to Debbi Glennie whose post you can  read here I bought this storage box, which needs painting, but fits on my desk perfectly. I had the Speccies in it but changed them for the Promarkers. The problem I had was that I couldn't see the colours of the pens so bought some small stickers today and coloured these and added them to the ends of the pens. I have a few of the Speccies stored at the bottom as there are still some Promarkers I need and am interested to see what the new Flexmarkers are like as I think I may need some of those.

It's taken me a while to get this sorted tonight so have run out of blogging time. Will catch up tomorrow.

Baby Boy

Good morning everyone. Last night's show was fantastic. A very quick post from me before heading out to the dentist, just a check up, hope he doesn't find any problems. Always an anxious moment when the talking starts and the prodding begins. I just want to pop this card on and will be back later with another.

I have used my favourite baby stamp which is from Whiff of Joy with my fave papers, Henbury Lane. Flowers are Prima with buttons and I added some lace, pins and a bow to finish.

If the shoe fits buy it in every colour!

I made this card for a very dear friend whom I have known for more than 30 years. She loves fashion and shoes and worked in shoe shops for years and you would never think she is 70. She loves the LOTV images so I bought this one especially to make her card. I coloured her with Promarkers, papers are Dovecraft Piece of Cake. I remembered I had some high heeled shoe charms and this one finished off the card beautifully. Janet also loves flowers so just had to add those too. I made another diamond card, instructions on my tutorial page.

I said I'd be back with a second post today and her I am with a Pollycraft image coloured with Promarkers. The papers are the lovely glittery First Edition Desert Blooms. The top paper has been cut with an MS Topiary PATP set. The trim across the middle was some white wrapping around something I bought so of course I quickly nabbed it for crafting. From Winter to Summer

My first post today was a Christmas card and my second is a complete contrast with these bright summery colours which are a little out of my comfort zone but it's good to try different colour combos I think. The sweet image is Sugar Nellie and I this is my second entry into The Sugar Bowl using their great sketch. The papers are Echo Park walk in the park. I distressed and inked all the edges and used some Core'dinations card which I embossed and sanded. As the papers are double sided I turned down the corner so you get a glimpse of the other side and added some pearls and a K&Co sparkly layered daisy. The part circle is from a pack of jam covers I bought at Dunelm Mill. I would also like to enter the summertime challenge at Creative Craft and will be entering the yellow and orange challenge on the Sugar Nellie Facebook page.

WOW

Well I'm of to a good start this morning. Not even 9.30 and I've made a DT card for 15th August with an image I had coloured, sun is shining, washing is on, dusting is done and a few other odd jobs. More cleaning and ironing to be done before I can play some more though I'm afraid.

This week at Winter Wonderland the lovely Suzi has given us a WOW challenge, white on white apart from the image. Not being able to reach for my lovely papers is always a challenge but I am always pleased with the results as it makes you use embossing folders, die cuts etc and be imaginative with your layout. I used an old Sizzix stars and scrolls embossing folder on the background, most of which is covered up. I layered up a swiss dots embossed border punched with a Michaels border punch. Some Sizzix cut scrolled corners, white ribbon. MS punched sparkly snowflakes and pearls to finish. The pearl looks slightly pink in the photo but they are white, trust me. The gorgeous image is an Elisabeth Bell image from Whiff of Joy which I have coloured with Spectrum Noirs and yes, I have used the turquoise pens again.

Distressed and chilly

No, I'm not distressed and chilly, far from it, rather warm in fact and definitely not distressed. This is Chilly Penguin available from Squiggle Stamps where all Christmas digis have 20% off apart from the 2 freebies which have 100% off!  Our current Christmas challenges end tomorrow so hope to see some more of you entering for a chance to win £10 to spend at Squiggles and a guest designer spot.

I have used some new Enchanted Christmas papers from Papermania currently only available at the Range I believe. I have distressed and inked all the edges and mounted Chilly on some torn Core'dinations. The corner was cut with a Sizzix die and the snowflakes I found in my stash. The tag is from the Percy and Penguin paper pack with an added sentiment.

Challenges:

Wedding Wishes

If you are reading this during the day on Wednesday then I shall hopefully be selling cards in Sheringham at the craft fair. I couldn't leave my blog empty for today so am sharing a Humphrey card which I didn't get round to blogging last week. This is Lottie, Humphrey's sister, I believe. I haven;t made a gatefold card for ages so used the sentiment and small image from the stamp set on the outside. Here's a closer look at Lottie.

Papers are from one of the Humphrey CDs and the ribbon is from the brights satin collection at Crafter's Companion. The swirls were created with a Crealie die and the image was coloured with Spectrum Noirs.

A Sassy 21st

I'm back as promised with a second card today. This is a card I made for a friend's daughter's 21st Birthday using one of my new Sassy stamps from Sugar Nellie and my fave Henbury Lane papers. I bought this lace a while ago from Wild Orchid and it is quite a heavy lace. I think it is beautiful but it hasn't looked right on a ard until this one and I love the effect with the sparkly paper and MS punched border. I coloured the image with Promarkers and then sprayed Crafter's Companion spray and sparkle on it. The numbers were die cut with a Tim Holtz Sizzix alphabet die.

Here's a closer look at the image

New fairy stamp

A very busy day ahead today as I am doing a craft fair tomorrow with my friend Lynsey. Really looking forward to a crafty chat all day and hopefully lots of sales too. I still have some stuff to make and stock to get ready so must not spend too much time on the laptop today. There's also a pile of ironing waiting.

We don't have any craft shops in Norfolk selling a wide range of stamps but I did pick up this gorgeous Nellie Snellen fairy. I just couldn't resist her, she is so sweet. She has been coloured with Promarkers. Papers are Basic Grey Wisteria and Euphoria. Flowers from Wild Orchid and Michaels and Crealie die cut leaves. I love these Crealie dies as the shapes just fall out of them once cut. I added some purple lace and a bow to finish.

I used the lovely sketch at Basic Grey and would like to enter the fairy tales challenge at CRAFT. I'll be back later with another card.

Beautiful Bouquet

Good afternoon from sunny Norwich. Yes a second sunny day in a row and after doing some washing, housework and shopping I'm here with my DT card for this month's challenge of glitter and glitz at Crafter’s Companion. I used papers from the SWALK 2 CD and one of the stamps from the first Humphrey collection. He is coloured with Spectrum Noir pens of course including my fave turquoise. You'll be seeing more turquoise this week I'm sure. I sprinkled the flowers with glitter, added a sparkly silver bow and silver Sizzix die cut corners. I'd like to enter this into the challenge of bling it on at Totally Papercrafts. Time now for some lovely colouring, cutting and sticking.
